What a transporter is

A transporter carries the load on its own chassis rather than hanging it from a crane. The machine moves to the stack, the arm brings the suction frame up to the face of the panel, and the panel then travels with the machine instead of swinging under a hook. That is what makes the machine usable indoors and in bays where there is no crane, or where the crane is committed to something else.

One operator works the whole sequence – attach, raise, drive, turn, lower, release – from the control box on the machine or from the wireless remote. No slings, no second pair of hands and no crane time are needed to move a single panel.

Choosing within this family

Three questions decide the model: the weight of the heaviest panel, the highest point the panel has to reach, and the space the machine has to work in. Capacity and lifting height are listed against each model above; the pad count and frame size follow the panel dimensions, and the frame can be rotated and tilted so a sheet can be taken flat and then offered up on edge.

• Wheel and tyre choice follows the floor: solid tyres for level workshop floors, a pneumatic-tyred version for uneven ground
• Running on battery means no cable and no air line, so the machine can be moved between bays without being reconnected
• Counterweight and an auxiliary wheel keep the machine stable when the arm is extended with a panel on the cups
• Rotation and tilt let the same machine place a panel into a rack, onto a table, or against an opening
