Pneumatic Jib and Column Vacuum Lifter
Overview
A column-mounted jib crane with a pneumatic vacuum lifter on the end of the boom, built for one-person handling of steel sheet, plate, glass, stone and other flat panels. The operator swings the boom over the stack, raises and lowers the lift cylinder from the control panel, and attaches or releases the load with a single button — so a heavy sheet can be moved from the rack to the machine without slings, hooks or a second pair of hands.
The whole machine is powered by compressed air. There is no electrical cabinet, no motor and no hydraulic power pack, which keeps the unit simple to install and safe to use in wet or dusty workshops. The vacuum gauge on the control panel shows the pressure in the circuit at a glance.

Control
The control panel sits between two ergonomic handles, so the operator steers the load with both hands while the buttons stay under the thumbs. Four functions are available at all times:
- Raise — lifts the load on the pneumatic cylinder
- Lower — sets the load down under control
- Vacuum on — draws the cups onto the panel
- Release — breaks the vacuum and frees the load

Load figures are the rated capacity of the machine. The vacuum circuit, the cups and the surface of the load must be checked before every lift, and the rated capacity must not be exceeded. Column height, boom length and cup layout are built to order around the working area.
Safety Notes
- Clean the cup faces and the surface of the workpiece before use.
- Never exceed the rated parameters of the machine while lifting.
- Check the suction cups for leakage before every lift.
- Keep all personnel away from, and never beneath, a suspended load.
- Only trained operators who have read the operating instructions may use the machine.
